Do Centennial Roofing Contractors Recommend EPDM Rubber Roofing?

The installation of complete and guaranteed solutions for flat roofs using EPDM membrane waterproofing systems made with the latest technology, will ensure durability and safety in the operation of the roof.

Centennial roofing companies recommend EPDM rubber roofing for various reasons.

EPDM takes its name from the chemicals (monomers) that are mixed together in different proportions to form EPDM rubber. These are ethylene, propylene, and diene. The ethylene content is usually between 45% and 75%. Diene monomers, although only a small part of the EPDM composition, provide crosslinking that ensures incredible strength, flexibility, and durability. The excellent properties of EPDM material come from this molecular chain structure and makes it unbeatable in terms of elasticity and resistance to aging. The lifespan of an EPDM roof is up to 50 years and even longer.

EPDM was first introduced to the United States in the early 60's and since then, it has been adopted by many industries for various applications- from HVAC to hydraulic braking systems, and from electrical insulation to roofing. This is due to its ability to withstand so many different weather conditions and thermal and mechanical influences.

EPDM membrane is also compatible with waterproofing systems for green roofs and photovoltaic systems.
