Choosing the Right Type of Roofing – Which Roofing Tiles Are the Best Ones?

The overall issue of choosing the best roof tiles for your roof is usually narrowed down to a choice between slate and concrete. While concrete Parker roofing products are typically more resilient and less brittle, they ironically enough last less than a slate tile. Slate is also more appealing and offers a better option to ensure that your new roof can be customized quite well and ensure a greater curb appeal.

Slate is widely regarded as the most durable and expensive type of roofing tile you can buy. Rated at an average price much higher than that of a common asphalt shingle or metal roof, a slate roof will, however, offer certain perks that you won’t find even in the best tile roofing systems.

First of all, slate is entirely fireproof, which is not the case with other roofing tiles. Also, because of the fact that it’s weatherproof, waterproof and capable of withstanding stronger winds, it doesn’t require an underlayment that is as comprehensive as in the case of other roofing systems, which can to some extent make installing a slate roof easier.

Also, in terms of home value, a slate roof is about as good as it can get. Telling your buyer that your roof is a recently installed, natural slate tile roof will likely make them want to buy your home even more and lead to a settlement pretty quickly.
